Pregnancy is one of the happiest stages in a woman's life. Nerves and insecurities, which also appear, are accompanied by a great strength due to the fact of giving life to a being and, above all, happiness at the arrival of that new little person in our family. But at the same time it is a path full of fears and doubts, the main one being what I can and cannot eat, what sport or activity may have some risk or what medications are harmful to my baby.
The same happens, although not to such an extent, with cosmetics. And it is that indeed not all active ingredients are recommended during pregnancy -here you can see the list of cosmetics prohibited during pregnancy-, although I am one of those who defends that one should not be excessively obsessed, with a little caution is enough.

When we are pregnant many things change in our body for the better. The hair is much brighter and more beautiful, the skin for its part more radiant, hydrated and luminous. This is derived from our "crazy" hormonal system in these weeks, which also gives us the occasional headache (such as nausea or frequent visits to the bathroom), but also makes us look even more feminine. However, this does not mean that we have to abandon ourselves to our fate, we must continue to be faithful to our morning and night routines. The keys are: cleaning, hydration and protection.
As I say, I try to take the pregnancy with just and necessary concern. I try to learn and detect early what can be harmful for my baby and/or for me, of course, and from there I try to take everything naturally. My facial routine used to consist of 5 steps: double cleansing, serum with treatment, moisturizer and eye contour; now I do two, the ones I mentioned before, in addition to the protection.
And I have not gone crazy looking in stores what I can use or not, -we already have enough with so many medical appointments and so many preparations-, I have only found out if the products I used until now were worth it, and in my case,! there was luck! Since I have fewer “beauty” steps, I use my time, for example, to have a better and more relaxed breakfast. You always have to look for the good point in everything, and in this case it is infinitely more beneficial.
How do I clean both in the morning and at night? In this case, I give less importance to the product itself, I use a mild soap, but the important thing is that I make cleaning more effective by using a facial cleansing device. In my case I use the Luna Mini 2 from Foreo, but there are many other options on the market. I discovered the firm during the #CosmetikTrip10 and, to me, it seems much more comfortable and manageable (and with very cool colors). It is made with silicone and adapts to any type of skin (and time, including pregnancy). Cleans 99.5% of dirt and you can choose cleaning intensity, up to eight; With such sensitive skin this is extremely important.
After cleaning, I go directly to moisturizing. Natural or organic products are recommended during pregnancy, in my case the cream I was using until I found out I was pregnant is Caudalie's Premier Cru line, and it's the one I'm using. I love this firm because its cosmetics are natural, in this case the glycerin is of plant origin, it does not have parabens, mineral oils or ingredients of animal origin, among many other benefits.
This is great for any woman at any stage but this one that is a little more special is fabulous. It can be easily found in pharmacies (you can ask the pharmacist what he recommends, in my case I have to say that I have normal skin, without extreme needs) and the bottle goes a long way (both data are important). My experience is that it is a comforting cream that nourishes a lot, smoothes the expression lines and redefines the contour of the face, it also gives me the feeling that it unifies my skin tone quite a bit; This last point is one that worries me the most.
Finally, it is important that we include protection in the routine to avoid the appearance of the famous cloths (melasmas); If they are already there, it is best to treat them after the baby is born, but even so, we must continue to protect them so that they do not go any further. There are many moisturizers that include protection, in my case not, but what I do is that I use a CC Cream with a high SPF, and that's it!
