Every October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an international health campaign organized by leading breast cancer charities to raise awareness of the disease, as well as raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.

During breast cancer awareness month there are some specific dates to raise awareness about this disease. October 9 is World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, October 13 is recognized as Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, and October 15 is National Mammography Day.

On October 5, 6 and 7, the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Santa Barbara (BCRC) will host a series of virtual webinars covering a variety of breast cancer educational topics.
