Delivery of the V prizes ‘The audiovisual in school’ in Seville with videos about addiction to new technologies and social networks

The president of the Cajasol Foundation, Antonio Pulido, the president of the Audiovisual Council of Andalusia, Emelina Fernández;the president of the Andalusian School Council, José Antonio Funes;and the director of Canal Sur Radio y Televisión, Joaquín Durán, have presided this Friday, June 21, the ceremony of the V Edition of the Award 'The Audiovisual in the School', an initiative of the CAA to promote media literacy, dividedIn six modalities for schoolchildren of the different education cycles from primary to post -lumplest secondary school and for teachers.The act, which has been held at the headquarters of the Cajasol Foundation in Seville, has been presented by the Malaga actor Fran Perea.

Addiction to new technologies and social networks, and the risks that derive from this abusive use such as isolation, cyberbullying or sexting is the central theme of most winning works in the V edition of the audiovisual in school.The V Edition has attended 37 works of the eight Andalusian provinces.The award -winning works will be disseminated in the Andalusia TV channel and in the social networks of the RTVA, which has been incorporated as a collaborating entity.

The expansion of the use of the Internet at an increasingly early ages makes minors provide competencies to understand the techniques and language of the media.In the five editions held so far there have been more than 200 works, a very significant number that demonstrates the interest of the educational community for the subject.In this contest, schoolchildren between 6 and 18 can participate, since it is convened in different modalities for the different cycles of primary, compulsory and secondary post -ligignment secondary education, and another for teachers.Each award is endowed with 1.000 euros that centers must use in the realization of activities related to audiovisual communication or the acquisition of material.
