Food and drink emojis have enriched conversations on Twitter during 2020. In addition, they are elements that allow you to discover the gastronomy of other countries and make the network more universal.

Tweets about cooking have nearly tripled this year, said Tracy McGraw, global head of consumer communications at Twitter.

The trends in food-related emojis suggest everyone developed a big sweet tooth, and all those video calls created a spike in adult beverages, McGraw said.

In addition to revealing the most used food emojis on the social network, McGraw also shared the 5 most liked and 5 most retweeted tweets of 2020.

Cupcake Emoji

The Cupcake emoji, also called the Cupcake emoji, was used 81% more in 2020. This delicious dessert ranked as one of the audience's favorites.

Glass of liquor emoji

This emoji reveals that despite all the circumstances, during the year 2020 perhaps many shared a drink at home. This emoji was used 77% more in 2020.

Slush Emoji

Slush emoji (sweet made with crushed ice and syrup) was shared 56% more times during 2020, becoming the 4th most preferred by users.

Cookie Emoji

How could you not love cookies? The fifth most used emoji of 2020 is the cookie with 45% more use among Twitter users.
