The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed Wednesday that the health restrictions of the so-called Plan B applied in the Government's struggle against COVID-19 will be built from next week.
The appearance and propagation of the omicron variant has led to that mandatory passes are no longer required for great places from Thursday, January 27, when the current rules expire.People will no longer need to wear masks in stores and in public transport.
With an omicron, Covid-19 cases shot at record levels, but hospitalizations and deaths did not increase to the same extent, partly due to the launch of reinforcements in Britain and at the slightest severity of the strain.
"We will continue to suggest the use of facial roofs in closed or busy places, particularly where you come into contact with people who normally do not know," said Johnson.
But we will trust the trial of the British people and we will no longer criminalize anyone who decides not to use one [Barjijo], he added.Johnson also pointed out that the government no longer asked the people who worked from home.
The promise of the Prime Minister to avoid confinements and live with the virus contrasts with the zero tolerance approach in Asian countries and the strictest restrictions in many other European nations."Many nations throughout Europe have endured more winter confinements ... but this government took a different path," Johnson told legislators, while adding that the government had made the most difficult decisions and than the number of people enteringintensive care was decreasing.
Facial masks are no longer necessary in school classrooms and the Department of Education will soon eliminate recommendations to use them in common areas.
"Our scientists believe that the chest wave is likely to now have reached its maximum point at the national level ... due to the extraordinary reinforcement campaign, together with the way in which the public has responded to the measures of Plan B, we can return to thePlan A ”, said Johnson.
However, scientists have warned that cases could increase again if people's behavior returns to normal quickly.
Johnson also said that he could put an end to the legal requirement of people's self -toaislation if they are positive before the regulation expires in March."But for that to be possible, we must all remain cautious during these last winter weeks," he said, warning about continuous pressure on hospitals.
