The Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) has released the provisional eligible list and the rejection list on 14 October 2026 for the direct recruitment of 130 Assistant Engineer / Manager posts (108 Civil and 22 Electrical) across the PWD, PHED, Water Resources and other departments of the Government of Manipur. This is not the final selection result — it confirms which candidates are cleared to appear in the written examination scheduled on 6 and 7 November 2026. A total of 94 applications were rejected (64 Civil and 30 Electrical). Provisionally eligible candidates must select their examination centre between 16 October and 22 October 2026 at empsconline.gov.in; the e-Admit Card will be available from 29 October 2026. The application fee, if any, was payable at the application stage. No fee is charged for centre selection or for downloading the e-Admit Card.

The 130 posts are spread across the Public Works Department, Public Health Engineering Department, Water Resources Department and other departments under the Government of Manipur. The branch-wise split of posts across departments was not given in the eligibility notice — candidates should refer to the original recruitment advertisement.

The provisional eligible list confirms which applicants satisfied the eligibility conditions of the recruitment advertisement — including the engineering degree in the relevant discipline and other prescribed conditions. Ninety-four applications were rejected, including for reasons such as the essential qualification certificate not being uploaded. Rejected candidates should check the rejection list on the official website; eligible candidates must proceed to select their examination centre within the window.

Age relaxation was applicable for reserved categories as per Government of Manipur norms. Candidates should verify the exact cut-off date and age limits from the official advertisement.

The Assistant Engineer / Manager posts carry a pay of Rs. 43,300 to Rs. 1,37,100 per month, with dearness allowance, house rent allowance and other allowances admissible as per Government of Manipur norms.

Allow extra time for traffic, weather and parking on the examination days — gates at the examination venues close exactly 10 minutes before the scheduled start.
