Note on the Result Controversy
After the result was declared on 4 November 2026, some candidates raised allegations of irregularities in the evaluation and shortlisting, including claims about consecutive roll numbers among shortlisted candidates, a high concentration of selections from one examination centre, and the shortlist being below three times the advertised vacancies. Memorandums seeking an independent probe have been submitted to the President, the Prime Minister, the Punjab Chief Minister and the CBI, and BJP leader Sunil Jakhar has demanded a CBI investigation. These are allegations and have not been independently established. Candidates should rely only on official communications from the Punjab Public Service Commission for the result and the next stages.
