Eligibility
Professor: An eminent scholar with a PhD degree in the concerned, allied or relevant discipline, published work of high quality, a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, and a total academic/research score of 120 as per UGC Regulations, 2018. A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in a university or college as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, and/or research experience at an equivalent level, with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates. An outstanding professional with a PhD and ten years of experience, who has made significant contributions to the discipline, may also apply under the second route given in the advertisement.
Associate Professor: A good academic record with a PhD degree in the concerned, allied or relevant discipline, a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade), a minimum of eight years of teaching and/or research experience in a position equivalent to Assistant Professor, a minimum of 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, and a total academic/research score of 75 as per UGC Regulations, 2018. A relaxation of 5% in the Master’s marks (from 55% to 50%) may be provided to PhD holders who obtained their Master’s degree prior to 19 September 1991.
Candidates already in employment must route their application through the proper channel, and the forwarded application must reach the university at least ten days prior to the date of interview.
Selection Process
- Screening and shortlisting of applicants on the basis of the shortlisting criteria laid down in UGC Regulations, 2018 and university norms.
- Interview of shortlisted candidates, as per the university’s selection procedure.
