The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the tentative answer key, candidates’ response sheets and question papers for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2026 Tier-I. Candidates who appeared in the Tier-I examination, held from 30 September 2026 to 30 October 2026, can now check their recorded responses against the official tentative key on the SSC website. The recruitment covers 10,731 Group B and Group C posts in various government departments, and 28,52,665 candidates appeared in the Tier-I examination. The key is provisional — candidates who find an answer incorrect can raise an objection within the window given below. Read the official notice for eligibility, selection process, pay scale and all other information.

Objections submitted after 7 November 2026, 9:00 PM will not be accepted, and objections must be submitted only through the official online system.

The objection fee is paid online through the official portal. The fee is non-refundable. The official answer key notice governs the fee — if the notice states a different figure, the notice prevails.

Tier-I is the first stage of the recruitment. Candidates shortlisted in Tier-I will proceed to the next stage as per the official selection procedure.

As per official notification. The answer key notice does not restate the age limit — candidates should refer to the CGL 2026 recruitment notification for post-wise age limits and relaxation rules.

As per official notification. Group B and Group C posts under the Combined Graduate Level Examination carry pay as per the post-wise pay levels given in the recruitment notification.
