The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), a Maharatna Central PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has invited applications for 50 Industrial Trainee seats under Advertisement No. ONGC/Industrial Trainee/1/2026 dated 23 October 2026. The training seats are equally divided — 25 for CA Intermediate and 25 for CMA Intermediate pass-outs — across Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Vadodara and Kolkata. Applications must be submitted through the official Google Form by 15 November 2026. Please note: this is industrial training with a monthly stipend, not a permanent ONGC employment vacancy. The minimum qualification is CA or CMA Intermediate passed with 60% marks in Class 12. Read the notification for eligibility, selection process, stipend and all other information.

The official advertisement does not specify a separate interview schedule. Candidates should complete the application within the notified deadline.

No application fee has been mentioned in the official advertisement. Do not rely on unofficial claims about fees.

Location-wise distribution as per the advertisement:

Reserved-category seats (OBC/SC/ST) are earmarked within each location as per the advertisement; one PwBD seat each is identified in Mumbai for the CA and CMA categories. Unfilled reserved seats will be filled by unreserved-category candidates.

Applicants must satisfy all three of the following conditions:

Passing CA or CMA Intermediate alone is not sufficient — the Class 12 percentage requirement and the date-of-birth condition must also be met. Both Group 1 and Group 2 marksheets, including those of failed attempts, have to be uploaded with the application.

The advertisement specifies the date-of-birth cut-off above and does not prescribe a separate numerical age limit or age-relaxation schedule. Use the date of birth recorded in the Class 10 mark sheet or certificate while filling the form.

Selected trainees will receive a monthly stipend depending on the training location and training year:

The training duration is 9 to 12 months for CA candidates and 15 to 18 months for CMA candidates, so not every trainee will complete two full years or receive the Year 2 stipend. Leave is governed by ICAI or ICMAI rules; trainees must arrange their own boarding, lodging and travel.

  1. Screening of applications against the prescribed educational eligibility (CA/CMA Intermediate, Class 12 percentage, date of birth)
  2. Application of the stated preference criteria — ONGC wards and candidates who passed the Intermediate examination in the first attempt
  3. Interview, where conducted — online, offline or telephonic
  4. Final selection at the discretion of ONGC

The advertisement does not prescribe a written examination, minimum interview marks or detailed selection weightage. Candidates must attend any interview at their own expense.

All documents must be self-attested and named exactly as instructed in the advertisement: the file name begins with the candidate’s full name as in the Class 10 certificate, followed by the document suffix (for example, “abcdef_Photo.jpg”, “abcdef_DOB.pdf”).

  1. Read the official ONGC Industrial Trainee advertisement (ONGC/Industrial Trainee/1/2026) carefully before filling the form.
  2. Open the official application Google Form linked in the advertisement (also available through the ONGC website).
  3. Enter your personal details, CA or CMA Intermediate examination details including Group 1 and Group 2 results.
  4. Upload your photograph, Class 10 certificate, Aadhaar card and Class 12 mark sheet in the prescribed formats.
  5. Upload separate PDFs of your Group 1 and Group 2 Intermediate marksheets, including failed attempts.
  6. Upload caste, disability or ONGC employee-related documents wherever applicable.
  7. Check the file names and self-attestation of every uploaded document.
  8. Review all information and submit the Google Form on or before 15 November 2026.
