Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has invited online applications for 134 Graduate Apprentice and Diploma Apprentice posts at its Bhanur unit in Sangareddy district, Telangana, as per Ref. No. BDL/6081/HR-L&D/APP/11/2026-27 dated 23 October 2026. Applications are open from 27 October 2026 to 10 November 2026, and the minimum qualification is a B.E./B.Tech degree or a Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline. Graduate apprentices get a stipend of Rs. 12,300 per month and diploma apprentices Rs. 10,900 per month for the one-year training. Read the notification for eligibility, selection process, stipend and all other information.

The NATS portal takes about 2 to 3 days to generate a registration number, so candidates should enrol well before 7 November 2026.

No application fee is mentioned in the notification. Candidates should check the official notification and the NATS portal for any fee-related instruction before submitting the application.

A total of 134 apprentice posts are announced — 78 Graduate Apprentices and 56 Diploma (Technician) Apprentices. Civil Engineering has no Graduate seats; it has 2 seats for Diploma Apprentices only. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/EWS follows the guidelines under the Apprentices Act. The training lasts one year under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973 at the BDL Bhanur unit.

Year of passing: Candidates must have passed their engineering degree or diploma in November 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026. Candidates who passed in any other year are not eligible.

Graduate Apprentice: A degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognised university, or from an institution empowered by an Act of Parliament to grant such degrees.

Diploma Apprentice: A Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a State Council or Board of Technical Education set up by a State Government, or from a university.

Who cannot apply: Candidates who have already done apprenticeship training under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973, candidates who are doing it now, and candidates with one year or more of work experience cannot apply. Every applicant must have a valid Aadhaar-seeded bank account. Physical standards are as prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules 1992 and amendments.

The notification does not prescribe a numeric age limit; the age limit is as per the Apprenticeship Rules. Candidates should check the official notification for the applicable age conditions.

The stipend is paid for the one-year training period. When the apprenticeship ends, BDL does not have to offer a job, and candidates cannot claim one because they finished the training. No TA/DA is paid for attending certificate verification or for joining, and BDL does not pay for boarding or lodging.

  1. Applications received by the notified dates are shortlisted on the basis of the marks scored in the essential qualification, separately for each category — General, SC, ST, OBC, PwD and EWS.
  2. Shortlisted candidates are called for certificate verification.
  3. Selected candidates receive a Preliminary Offer Letter for joining, issued only at the time of certificate verification.

There is no written test in this recruitment. BDL will inform shortlisted candidates about the dates for certificate verification and joining separately.
